Nambu ironware teapots cannot provide iron supplements.
Such comments have become common knowledge.
However, I want to be able to boil water easily in my daily life.
We responded to the demand for iron supplementation by drinking hot water.

It is made using the traditional technique of kiln firing.
Proof of this is that the interior is grey in colour, without being enamel glaze.
Although it is a teapot, it can also be used as an iron kettle to boil water.

Origin of the design

It fits in with a variety of interior styles, both Western and Japanese.
We want to deliver Nambu ironware.

With this in mind, the eighth generation Otomi drew many design sketches.
The wood grain pattern emerged from within.
The knob is decorated with a small flower bud.

The overall color tone is gossamer, one of Otomi's traditional colors.
The color will gradually change to brown over time,
It is a color that does not lose its impression even when it changes.
Because it is tall, the capacity is 0.6L, which is larger than the Ko-arare and Hisago.

The tea strainer is tall and spacious, allowing the tea leaves to open up well.
It can be used not only for boiling water every day, but also as a teapot.

*Precautions when using a teapot
When using it as a teapot, just as when boiling water, be careful not to leave any water inside.
The color of the tea will darken due to a reaction between the tannins in the tea and the iron, but please rest assured that this is not harmful.
We have heard that the reaction between the iron and tea components mellows out bitter and other unpleasant flavors, making the tea smoother and more palatable.
