▼What is Matsukaze?
The word matsukaze is a word used in the world of tea ceremony.
It is said to represent the sound of water boiling in a tea kettle.
If you listen carefully, you can hear a hissing sound when the water in an iron kettle boils.
We imagined that our ancestors in Japan who enjoyed tea may have heard the same sound, and so we named it Matsukaze.

Features
With its flat design, we aimed to create an iron kettle that would look good in both Japanese and Western styles.

We were conscious of the design's emphasis on ease of pouring. We designed the angle of the spout so that the tilt angle when pouring hot water can be minimized.
In addition, the design of the spout tip has been specially designed to allow water to flow more smoothly than conventional iron kettles.

The handle is movable, making it easy to carry and store.

Although it is rare in the design of iron kettles, this one has a steam hole in the lid, which emphasizes practicality and allows water to flow more easily when pouring.
