Nambu Cast Iron Tetsubin "Hiramaru Itome" — Hisago (Amber Brown), 1.2L

Sale price¥39,600

<Specifications> No enamel lining; unglazed, finished with an oxide film by kiln firing; movable handle

The surface texture of a casting is called its "skin," or ihada.
The softly textured iron skin is simple yet blends into everyday life, a design you will never tire of.

◎ Oitomi's kiln-fired tetsubin
The grey color inside the kettle is the mark of the traditional kiln-firing (kamayaki) process. This finish is essential to the tetsubin's true character: replenishing iron in the water you drink.
