This iron kettle, representative of the Heisei era, was invented in 1989 by the 6th generation Otomi.
The two horses, brothers of Heisei Maru Arare, galloping swiftly through the fields.
The skin does not refer to horse skin, but the plain surface of cast iron.
Oshu City in Iwate Prefecture is also known as a horse-breeding area, as exemplified by the Date cavalry.
The horse pattern is considered to be an auspicious symbol and a motif of prosperity.
