Kawane Wood-Fired Hojicha 100g

Tokuyama in Kawane is a tea-growing area in the mountains of Kawane-cho, Shimada City, Shizuoka Prefecture. The high elevation and the wide swing between daytime and nighttime temperatures bring frequent mist, so the tea leaves grow slowly. This natural environment produces a tea with a lifted aroma and a long finish. This Hojicha is made from Yabukita-cultivar Sencha grown without fertilizer or pesticides, and roasting over a wood fire draws out a remarkably clear, transparent aroma.
