How to brew tea (E) >

Golden Catalogue is said to have a very unique floral fragrance, and is a very popular tea in Anxi, along with Tieguanyin.

Anxi, one of the three major oolong tea producing areas in China

Anxi in Fujian Province is the hometown of Taiwanese tea and is one of the three major oolong tea producing areas in China, along with Wuyishan City and Fenghuang Town.

The Anxi region is generally at a high altitude, and the entire region is made up of red soil, which contains a lot of iron, which contributes strongly to the strong aftertaste of tea. For this reason, tea produced in Anxi has a distinctively strong flavor compared to tea produced in other regions, even if it is moderately fertilized.
Looking through historical documents related to tea, Anxi has been developing oolong tea technology since the very early 1600s. It is said that it was tea masters from Anxi who brought oolong tea manufacturing techniques to the famous Wuyishan, and as proof of this, there is a certain number of people living in Wuyishan who speak the Anxi dialect, Minnan.

Golden cassia is the second most popular after Tieguanyin due to its gorgeous fragrance.

There are many distinctive tea varieties in Anxi. The most famous variety is Tieguanyin, but it is no exaggeration to say that Golden Gui is the second most popular tea in Anxi after Tieguanyin because of its unique aroma.

What makes Golden Katsura a little unusual is that the name Golden Katsura is not the name of a variety.
Golden Gui is a tea made from a variety called Huang Dan. Generally, oolong tea made from Huang Dan is called Golden Gui. Golden Gui is not the name of a specific method of making it, and oolong tea made from Huang Dan is called Golden Gui whether it is a clear-scented type, medium-roasted, or heavily roasted.
The "Katsura" in Golden Kei means golden osmanthus. The name Golden Kei comes from its unique golden color and gorgeous, sweet fragrance reminiscent of golden osmanthus.

A gorgeous, milky scent

Tea is made in the same way as Tieguanyin, by allowing the leaves to grow to a certain extent, picking them when they are ripe, and then fermenting them thoroughly.
This product is lightly roasted to bring out a sweeter aroma, so you can really taste the sweetness when you put it in your mouth.
It has a floral and slightly milky fragrance, as well as a faint roasted aroma. It goes very well with food, and is a tea that pairs well with all kinds of Japanese, Western and Chinese cuisine.
Because this is a highly fermented tea, we do not recommend steeping it in water; rather, if you brew it strong and then dilute it with chilled water to make iced tea, it tastes great in hot weather.

In terms of quality, it has a pleasantly long aftertaste, a solid body, and a well-rounded, full-bodied flavor.
Basically, we purchase this tea with the concept of delicious oolong tea that can be enjoyed on an everyday basis. Therefore, we select tea while considering the balance between price and quality.
